Lisa and Jenni were raised in San Diego, California; Jenni now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina and Lisa made a permanent move to the UK 14 years ago. Jen was a Riggio Scholar at The New School, and Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications and a master’s in Project Management. Our work is based on, and formed by, our two+ decades of experience working in the male-dominated industries of Finance, Construction, and Tech.
We host a weekly podcast called Dear Patriarchy that is streamed on all major streaming platforms and has recently made the society & culture charts in Italy, Hong Kong, the Philippines, New Zealand, Austria, Ireland, and Finland. Each episode focuses on a different topic pertaining to the obstacles women and marginalized groups face in the White-centric, hetero-patriarchal (corporate) world. We have a boisterous social media presence on Instagram (@dearpatriarchypod) and TikTok (@dearpatriarchypodcast), both of which are building a committed community devoted to equity and social justice. All of this tells us there is an appetite for what we’re creating, and we would love to have your help in spreading our message of workplace (and social) equality globally.
We are deeply passionate about helping women and marginalized groups overcome the obstacles presented by a White-centric, ableist, hetero-patriarchal society and ensuring that the feminism we espouse is intersectional and inclusive. We know that the global pandemic has made the traditional workplace's future unsure and that the existing systemic inequalities endemic in the corporate world (and the broader world) will not disappear overnight without radical change at the societal and governmental levels. Our aim with this work is to give women the feminist toolkit they didn't know they needed and send them back into the boardroom, ready to rewrite the corporate paradigm.
Your support enables us to meet our goals and improve conditions for the small businesses & entrepreneurs we help with pro bono training & marketing support. In 2023, we will begin working closely with select community care providers of children, teens, women and marginalized groups and those support links will be posted here for direct donation.
